- Maximum working pressure: 50 PSI (3.5 BAR)
- Clean / Replace Cartridge:
- Turn off the pump.
- If the filter is located below water level, the valves (or block off suction and discharge lines) should be closed to prevent backflow of water from the pool.
- Unscrew and remove drain plug to allow water drain from the filter then close drain plug afterwards.
- Unscrew and remove the locking knob which is in a counterclockwise direction.
- Carefully remove top cover to have access to filter cartridge.
- Either pull out the cartridge and clean it or replace it with a clean, spare cartridge.
- Reinstalling Cartridge Element:
- Take away any collected debris from the bottom of the filter body.
- Carefully replace the cartridge element over the tie rod and into the filter body.
- Ensure that the cartridge sits properly on the collector hub in the bottom of the filter body.
- Hand tight the locking knob in counterclockwise direction.
- Start the filter.
- Cleaning Cartridge:
- To remove fine particles, wash it first with a garden hose then dry it before carefully brushing the pleated surface areas since it is easier to clean when dry.
- Removing algae, suntan oil and body oils can form a coating on the cartridge pleats so the cartridge needs to be soaked first in a solution of filter element cleaner for an hour before reinstalling the filter.
- The cartridge can look brand new by soaking it in 20% muriatic acid that is added to water in 1 to 1 ratio.
